Book Review: Executed in Paradise

My Review:

How can you pass up a book that within the first chapter a dead body is found. After Madison and her best friend Fab find a body on their property the investigation starts to find out who did this. Through out the ups and downs of the investigation these two find out that there were two previous dead bodies disposed of in the same manor. When another body shows up on Madison’s property these two best friends are bound and determined to find this killer.

This book was very good and it keeps you interested and on your toes throughout waiting to find out what comes next.

When a body turns up at the Cottages, Madison and Fab are on the case. But when the killer makes a habit of discarding bodies on Madison’s property… it’s personal.

While on the hunt for the killer, the duo track down a double-crossing bail jumper, repossess a Lamborghini, and Madison lands her first case.

As more bodies pop up, the cops are eager to name a suspect. When a close friend is arrested as the prime suspect, Madison and Fab will stop at nothing to prove her innocence, but will they be too late?

Executed in Paradise, the ninth book in the scorching Paradise series about best friends who maintain the peace in the paradise of Tarpon Cove through unconventional – and highly entertaining – measures.

About the Author
I’ve been writing, in one way or another for as long as I can remember; writing poetry, short stories, a romance novel secretly stashed under the bed and sappy love letters. Fiction should be fun. I wanted to create the perfect beach book, to make the reader laugh, cry and cheer… and then run out and tell their friends about it.

My love of reading began when I was seven, the day I opened the cover of my first Mrs. Piggle Wiggle book. Mrs. P gave lessons to other children in how to behave and to me I learned to love the written word. I live with my family and demon children aka rescue cats in South Florida.

Book Review: Eighty and Out

Traumatized by visits to the nursing home to see their elderly aunt, Louise and her sister Jeannie made a youthful pact to not live past age eighty. Was it a silly childhood idea, or were they wise beyond their years? Most importantly, will they go through with it when the time comes?

Eighty and Out Editorial Review:

“An emotionally-charged women’s fiction novel about the bond between sisters, friendship, and fate, Eighty and Out will have you deliberating your destiny.” ~ Bestselling author Deborah Brown

My Review:

I agreed to review this book because I found the summary interesting and intriguing. I wondered how the author would paint a picture of two women that have made a pact to only live to the age of eighty. I find it crazy to put a limit on your life but I also know God has a plan for everyone and that may be exactly what you are thinking. My grandmother passed away exactly a year ago this Easter. It was a very hard time for my family but I later found out that she had told other family members that she didn’t want to be a widow for more then 30 years. See I was born in March of ’85 and my Grandpa passed away in May of ’85. When my grandmother passed away it was the month before she would have been a widow for 30 years. Also, my grandmother was a devoted Lutheran and she would go to church, bible studies, and pot lucks so to pass away on Easter with the reminder of the resurrection was so comforting and perfect in everyway!

Ok, back to the book. This story is of two girls. They start young but you quickly go through the years through marriages, struggles and children. This book had me on the edge of my seat ready for the next exciting adventure the girls would go through. This book was a WONDERFUL read and the author did a great job telling the sweet girls story but moving it along quickly and keeping the reader interested in what would happen next. Let me know if you read it and what you think!
